I'm Maddy DeVita,
founder of Hand Me The Fork—a New York City-based culinary business specializing in private chef services, recipe development, food content creation, and brand partnerships.
My love of cooking started long before culinary school, but it took a pandemic, a summer spent on an agriturismo in Tuscany, and a few unexpected detours for me to finally turn it into a career. After training at the Institute of Culinary Education, I launched Hand Me The Fork as a way to build a business around the things I love most: cooking for people, developing recipes, and sharing food stories.
Through Hand Me The Fork, I provide private chef services for intimate dinners, celebrations, brand events, and other bespoke culinary experiences. I also work with food, beverage, and lifestyle brands on recipe development and original digital content designed to connect with audiences in an authentic way.
What started as a place to document my life in the kitchen has grown into a multimedia food brand reaching a community of home cooks, food lovers, and curious eaters. Across recipes, videos, and behind-the-scenes moments, my goal is always the same: to make good food feel approachable, inspiring, and worth gathering around.
Whether I'm cooking for a dinner party, developing a recipe for a client, or creating content for a brand partner, Hand Me The Fork is rooted in the belief that food is one of the best ways to bring people together.
